Takar Red Reserve 2016
Takar Reserve is an amazing blend of the oldest native Armenian grape variety Areni grown in the Vayots Dzor region and the Saperavi grape variety from Ararat Valley. The Ararat grape predominant in this wine is grown in the highlands in severe continental climate 1400-1500 meters above sea level. the wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months.
This premium wine with a limited edition offers a perfect combination of fruit aromas (cherry, grape, plum, blackberry) and oak barrel aromas (vanilla, liquorice, gingerbread) together with a nice floral fragrance. The wine becomes rather impressive in the mouth when its full-bodied structure leaves a rich and long-lasting aftertaste. Takar Reserve is a perfect match with veal and lamb dishes, roasted poultry, soft cheese and berry pies.
